Why Spend the Time to Create?

I've gone back and forth with myself for YEARS on whether or not I would buckle down and start an online blog in some capacity. My whole life I've been told, based on my own personal experiences through parent turmoils, abandonment issues, and substance abuse as a coping mechanism, that I should write a book. Writing a book seems like the most daunting task when it comes to telling a simple story, based on my own life. But, for me, my "simple stories" aren't so simple to everyone. Matter of fact, they're the complete opposite. They're the type of stories that make a person look at you and within an instant, their entire preconceived notion about your life, upbringing, and social status flies out the window. They feel sorrow and regret and sadness all at once. They look at me with narrowing eyes and loosened shoulders, they are no longer looking at someone who judges a book by its cover, or cares for material possessions, nor compares passer-byers to one another. They are looking at a growing and evolving woman who harnessed the ability to thrive alone while still allowing for constant guidance on how to bandage the gaping wounds left behind by the constant presents of solitude. Not to say that every decision made was the right one in my life, but through trial and tribulation, continued belief in myself and my abilities to make it out alive is what cradled me nightly, molding the fierce, abundant, young mother that I've fought to become today. Write a book, maybe one day. Until then, ill continue to heal me, while also raising and being present for the most lively and wholesome two little girls in my life. All that being said, I've created young mothering as my outlet to share what I love. From sharing deals and affiliate links for products and services that we're currently using, connecting with people who have maybe experienced a thing or two similar to me, and just wanting someone to vent with. My page is a place for others to get to know who I am, personally and professionally. I'm an open book and I hope someone finds joy in some outlet while they're here!
